We are beginning to get a months worth of learning past and well, everyone is loving it. We are using MFW curriculum and the girls just love it. It is reader friendly, easy to follow and you can expand as much as you want to. I love it and have done several crafts, storybooks and even tried some recipes. They are learning so much about God, his teachings and our wonderful world. We do Nature Tuesdays and have Reading Saturdays and I am hoping to do lapbooks starting next month.
The girls are growing so much and as they say, one day is long enough to learn more about my daughters. They amazing John & I every waking moment.
Luna is so involved in her creative side this yr as we are taking Drama class, and art class. She loves each and has learned how to project her voice while being dramatic and how to expand her mind with artistic style. She loves her teachers and I am seeing a different side of her as she expands her possibilities in her mind. She is also taking speech class to help her better pronounce words and work on some similarities. She loves the chance to goto a "public school" and work with Ms. Turberville. I find it fascinating to see how far she will go there. Her Drama teacher let me know that she was born to act, I so agree. We talked one afternoon about her great vocal skills and carefree nature for acting in groups or for the audience. John & I have put that to use as we began our home movie series. She loves to help others and teach them new things. She has worked with her sister on a number of occasions to learn her letters and such. Luna also has gotten more involved in our church and is going on Sun mornings and nights. She is learning and growing there while spreading Gods word to others. They recently went to a nursing home to visit others and just spend time with them.
Rayne is doing great in school and loves to learn, sing songs and dance. She is taking her first dance class and loving it. She gets to be independent from sister and show her own talents. She is in Ballet and Tap class and their first recital is in May, we are excited! She loves the clothes and shoes and really is shiny her own light. I know she loves sunday school and is showing her love for Jesus there. They are now in seperate programs, due to Luna being in K, so they each have their own work and time away. I feel it just brings them closer when they get this needed time apart.
John is doing well at his job, but we have changed names to Kamtek, a group within Magna. So, new hours and sometimes a tough week. He is so supportive of the girls and all they do. We are truly blessed to have him able to work while the girls attend homeschool. Just last week, he was working on them with their letters and asking what they have been up to. He loves to see the joy in their eyes as they tell him a new fact they learned and Luna just lights up to spend time with her "Daddy". They are truly my lights and I see each one shine with daddy around them. Each has a favorite time with him....Luna wrestling and playing actively. Rayne playing dress up and dancing with prince charming! He just beams with love for those girls and I am blessed to have him as my "Prince Charming".
I am still pursuing my goal of teaching to youth ministry and working hard to develop my sermon to present to them. I love every opportunity to serve those kids. They need such direction and I am happy to give them any help or guidance I can. I am still teaching swimming on Sat and loving those dear kids I work with. I am starting to get more fit by using the facility to exercise, not just teach. I have started a program with trainer to get machines set up and understand how to keep fit. I feel alive when I get that 30 min or hour work out to destress for the week.
We are looking forward to Halloween and pumpkin carving. Spending time together and enjoying the fall as it enters the south! Great times spend together is all I can ask for.
Enjoy your month and Happy Halloween! ~~The Swiczkowski's
