Girls are growing up so fast....

Kids say the darnedest things and neither of them is an exception to this rule. The other day Luna remarked on how she wanted to grow up and have 12 kids and be a great mom like me. She is always interested in babies and what she needs to do to take care of them and I can't wait until she is much older and decides to be a mom! She is always praising God and praying for others whom she doesn't know (i.e. kids in africa was a theme in Sunday School this last month and she went to alter and said prayers for those who have little)! What an example and joy she is in our lives. She truly is an angel. She once told me that she was ready to be baptized, so now we are taking a journey in late April to help her get closer to that goal!

We were at the park on Monday of this week and she went up to a father and was talking to him. I had just told her when we arrived that we were not to talk with strangers, but a polite hello was ok. She was talking to him, so I went up and once they were done. I talked with her about talking to strangers. she replied, "I was just trying to make some friends for you!!" What a laugh, I had to explain that mama has a lot of friends and thank her for wanting to help, but that she was there to play with other kids!!

Rayne and I recently had a chat about boys. I thought, here I am having a "boy talk" with my 3 yo, wow. But when we sat and talked I was so proud of her response. To cue most of you in, she has a friend, Luke, who she attends Sunday School with and they both usually stay for 2 services so they spend quite some time together and he is a boy who will play dress-up and make believe with her...so to our surprise she starts talking about him all the time and refers to him as "luke, her boy friend"...ok, no problem, just a friend but also talks about marrying him someday. We (his mom and I) make it quite clear they are not to marry until at least 30 yo, lol! Well, now it has been 6 months and his mom comes up to me (she works in Luna's room) and asks me to tell her if Luke kisses her. Well after talking with her a little longer, it appears that Luke (having not seen her for 1 week) has been talking nonstop about her and marrying her. His mom says he can't marry her because they are just kids, to which Luke replies, " I am going to marry her someday!" (so cute really)....well, that leads me to want to talk with her about this kissing bit! Now that you are on track, we sit down and I ask her, "Did you know Luke was talking to his mom about marrying you?" To which she replies, "that is silly, I am only a girl!"....I respond, "Yeah! How do you show friends you like them?". She says, "I don't know...." "You can hug them, or give a high five, or blow them a kiss," I say. "Luke says he wants to kiss you" Rayne says, "that's silly, only mamas & daddies can kiss me!" Wow that girl is smart for her age and I am proud of her responses, boy~girl kiss saved for a couple more yrs!!!

God bless and enjoy this spring weather, whatever it brings!
