My favorite time was when Luna and Rayne sat and played with the nativity scene. They told the story of that night and how the angels spoke to everyone telling of the coming of baby Jesus. They love the stories of the season and how Santa is working hard, but they truly understand the true meaning of the holiday, Jesus Christ. They want to tell everyone about him and feel they have some holiday cheer to pass on with this message.
With cards decorated, pictures taken, tree decorated and house ready for guest; there is not much left to do. We spent this week wrapping and decorating only to take one day to destroy it. There are toys to give and presents to spread the cheer. The girls love giving the gifts they create and this year is no different. We took some time to create cookies, chocolate pretzels and found things that we know our family members would enjoy. They are so thrift that they were still running around yesterday, looking for gifts they could give others from our own toys. Their cousin, Christopher II is one they love to find stuff for. They know he is younger and are willing to part with their own toys to help other child enjoy!
That is really what this season reminds us to do; spend time with loved ones, cherish the memories and share the things we love with others. For our family that is cookies, baking meals, creating new games and prized gifts to share with others. Merry Christmas to all and remember to give God a moment of your time, thank him for all those treasures you own and those people who mean so much.
