~~Happy Holidays to all and to all a Good Night~~

Hello fellow parents, I am writing to y'all to let you in on a little secret....come closer...ok, got your attention.

Luna and Rayne are getting so big, I have seen them blossom this year into little ladies...(although Luna will tell you, "I am not a little lady, I am a Big Girl!")

We are studying fossils and rocks/dinos and she is loving it. We have ventured to museums and science centers, rock quarries and just a nature path...but in all locations we have found rocks or fossils or both. She is my little scientist when she puts her mind to it. Most of you know her as the Drama Diva that she is; bubbly and vivacious Luna that loves to tell you how much she cares. She is learning addition and subtraction and working through story problems quickly. She has also started working with mom & dad on her spelling and writing skills. Her favorite activity in Lang. is to create story books with pics and help from mom for her dialog. She is working on "Disney Princess Manners" for our trip in December and loved our Tea Party we hosted in Oct, with honey cookies and "juice". We have been to 3 plays this seasons (Peter & the Wolf, Rumpelstiltskin, & Wind in the Willows) and Luna has definite interest in the Theater...either musical or dance.

Rayne is growing up and learning to throw tantrums a lot. She is also growing in her love for puzzles and games. The girls spend half their days playing Uno, candyland and Slapjack...and the other half chasing dog outside or going to the park to run off some energy. She is also getting less shy when sister is near by and has a good friend named Samuel that she just adores. She loves SuperWhy on PBS and has learned the theme song and ABC's through that. She is beginning to look up to big sis and I hope that she can learn to play better with sis in the future. Still the little mischievous child who likes to start a fight with sis and take something away and Luna is still the big sis that likes to tattle or give me a tantrum just because.

John is doing good at work and we are hoping to have him on 1st shift within the year...that would mean he would be home at 2:30pm every day!!! Family time, Yippeee.
He just had a eye exam that reviled he has start of Glaucoma in his left eye, so we are praying that this early detection will prevent any further deterioration of it. He is still playing his games and has recently purchased Crysis, for those game lovers.

I am doing great and enjoying learning new things through Luna and Rayne. We are always on the go as most of you know, I am that way!! We had Mom, Dad, Bro and his wife down recently and I tried to show them the town as best I could with Festivals, Zoos and just some good Southern Cookin'. We had a blast and I hated to see them go, but I know Jeff & Brooke were ready to get back and probably needed a vacation from their trip with my two energy balls!! I am looking into Youth Ministry as a career once girls are a little older and we are planning to continue this HS journey. I love being with my girls and love the interact and way their minds work and I wouldn't trade this time I am given by God for anything in the world, including money!! Time is such a precious thing and you begin to realize that as your girls grow up right in front of you!!! I can't believe that Luna and Rayne will be 3 & 5 by next summer!! Time really does fly when you have kids.

God bless and Happy Holidays from The Swiczkowski's to yours, Kim.
